The Merlo Panoramic series was first released in 1987. These telehandlers range from 2.8 tonnes to 10 tonnes capacity, and have lift heights between 6 and 18m.
Lower lift height telehandlers may have fixed axles or a unique integral sideshift.
Merlo Panoramic telehandlers that can lift above 7m will have sideshift and frame levelling, with most telehandlers lifting above 10m also being fitted with Merlo's unique compact stabilisers.
Telehandler - Roto
Merlo introduced the ROTO telehandler in 1991. It was the world's first slewing telehandler, and Merlo still leads the world in rotary telehandler sales!
Slewing adds another dimension to telehandler use - for handling, lifting and access platform duties - creating a truly versatile telehandling machine.
Merlo's commitment to choice means there are three build levels of ROTO telehandlers available, with varying features. There are now 10 models, lifting up to 25m!
The simpler smaller ROTO telehandler models have a 415 degree slew angle and fold-out stabilisers. ‘S’ models have Merlo’s hydropneumatic suspension system permitting travel speeds up to 40 kph. Thes models were upgraded at the end of 2006 to have the latest cab design and boom assemblies, giving them the highest full height lift capacities of their class.
The top of the line 'MCSS' series adds continuous slew and the revolutionary MERlin Continuous Slew Safety system, guaranteeing stability in real-time. The huge flexibility of this digital control system allows working with partially extended stabilisers.
ROTO machines are particularly versatile when mated to one of Merlo’s huge range of personnel platforms, lifting equipment and other attachments!
Telehandler - Turbofarmer
The Merlo Turbofarmer series was born of the 1994 P27.7 EV, designed specifically for farmers.
The 2006 range of 16 models spans lift capacities from 3.4 tonnes to 4.1 tonnes capacity, and of lift heights between 7m and 9.7m.
Compact Turbofarmers are only 2m wide, with low-profile builds below 2m high. Four models have lift heights of 6m or 8.2m.
The 16 TurboFarmer 2006 models have a Deutz turbo engine of either 102 or 140HP. Either fixed axles or Merlo's unique integral sideshift and frame levelling axle are used. Many feature ‘Load-sensing’ hydraulic systems for greater efficiency and speed.
The TurboFarmer build includes a host of farmer-specific features - front & rear axle differential locks, rear service line, radio etc.
Merlo - Concrete Mixer
Rough Terrain Self-loading concrete mixers were among the first Merlo products, as far back as 1960.
The current DBM EV Series telehandlers are state-of-the-art examples of a principle greatly used throughout Europe.
With up to 3500 litres drum capacity, the three DBM models are able to deliver concrete exactly to the spot, travelling across rough terrain or at up to 40 kph on roadways. Sharing the powertrain of the Panoramic handlers, the DBM machines are easy and efficient to drive. Electronic and hydraulic weighing options ensure both high quality and repeatibility of the concrete produced.
Telehandler - Multifarmer
The Multifamer has a clear view of the 4 tonne lift rear linkage, and a 100HP mechanical PTO, the Multifarmer telehandler has a very practical tractor ability. And, at the front, there's an optional front PTO and a levelling front axle. As a telehandler, the Multifarmer lifts 3000 kg - a very useful handling capacity around any farm. And, it has a ‘change on the move’ version of the 40kph transmission of other Merlo handlers, with a new DEUTZ engine. In October 2005 the Multifarmer2 was introduced with a new cab for increased vision and comfort.
